I'm thinking the sub is for the insane or those aspiring to insanity. Love it (y) (y) (y) (y) (y)

It's only 57 rather large pieces...

Anyone recall the Eduard Stripdown series?

7004 - Fokker E.III

7006 - Sopwith Camel

7007 - Fokker D.VIII

7008 - Fi 156 Storch

7009 - Piper L-4

7013 - Fokker Dr. I

Wow, that's nuts.

Saul, I've seen some of those built, and they always look absolutely amazing. I've thought about maybe trying my hand at one some day.

I led the kits as you got the complete plastic model plus all the PE to make the strip down. The inventive modelers then used the structural PE parts to create a battle damaged scene. here are the instructions to give you an idea:

James, you can do that one right after you put all of those teeth on the T-28 tracks !!!

I still think Voyager Models' LVT track set are still the mark of insanity:

Sorry but the problem with the Sub and the Eduard set above is the inability of PE to do round. I cant see the point in going to all that effort to make up a structure like a fuselage frame if its actually less correct than the plastic moulding in the first place ? Same goes for flat levers and flat ammunition belts !! I am a fan of PE but it has its place and crucially,so does resin.

That's always been my beef with Eduard stuff, that and shipping out kits with resin that doesn't fit. What gets me more is that PE does do round, very well at that. Eduard just doesn't attempt it that often.
