Two Trucks from Maddog Manufacturing

Duke Maddog

Well-known member
The Duke has done it again. Here are two more trucks that I completed this week, along with my two Russian helicopters.

This first one is the PST Studebaker semi truck in 1/72 scale done up in US transport markings:

Next is my IBG British Bedford QLD done in Polish Army supply truck markings:

Overall, I'd say these look pretty good. Also, as I mentioned, I finished two Russian helicopters this week as well. Feel free to check them out in the Aircraft Forums too.

Thanks all for looking in, comments are welcome.

Great work,Duke!!! (y)

Got a question;is this 1/72 or 1/76 scale?
The reason I ask is,I know Matchbox did 1/76 back in the 1970's[please someone correct me when I am wrong].
They had AFV's on mini diorama's with some cool extra stuff,a thompson SMG comes in mind.
Would be a nice touch to add jerrycans, weapons and stuff like that on your models.

[but then again....it might be hard to find] just, thinking out loud.

Please soldier :soldier on ,Duke!

Greetings,Ron.

Thanks for the compliments Ron!

These models are both in 1/72 scale. The Bedford is from the new company IBG doing 1/72 scale British trucks. I have a couple more of their models in progress.

I'm not familiar with the Matchbox offering of a Bedford, but I know JB Models did some in 1/76 scale. I have one already done by them.

As for the stowage/cargo load, yeah, I'd love to have some to place in the bed. I have seen some aftermarket resin sets of stuff to load into trucks but many are more expensive than the models themselves! Maybe someday some more sets will be made available in a reasonably priced offering.

Thanks again for the great comments and questions.

How many arms to you have maddog or have you hired an octopus to help you ?

Superb fast and great building and painting (y) (y) (y) (y)

Nice works, there, Duke! Though I collect mainly 1:35 armors and dioramas, I've bought some 1:72 trucks from Academy such as M3 w/ Amphibian Vehicle & Bike, German Fuel Truck w/ Kubelwagen, M977 and US Tank Transporter Dragon Wagon when they went on sales. Have you got any of these?

Andy, thanks for the compliment! I have been accused of having "eight arms" before, but last I checked, I got only two! LOL! B)

Model Maniac, Thanks for the compliment as well. Yes, I have every Ground Vehicles sets that Academy ever put out: The Kubel and Jeep, the WC-51 Ambulance and tow tractor, the German tanker with Kubel, M-3 and amphibious jeep, the M-35 cargo truck, M-977, M-24 Dragon Wagon, and the other three that I cannot remember. (they have 11 Ground Vehicle Sets) I've also had them all completed for quite some time. Let me know and I can post pics of all of them. I just have to take pics of each set together.
