The Duke's Newest Armor, Nos. 647 & 648

Okay people, I apologize for flooding the boards here, but I managed to get a couple more done.

This first one, Number 647 in my Completed Ground Vehicles collection is my Emhar 1/72 scale British Mark IV Male "Flypaper" that I built for the IPMS USA Forums WWI Group Build. This little beastie got a wash first; then I splattered it with a dark brown color; then added some lighter powder to the top of that. Here it is after a spin through Cambrai:

The next one, Number 648 in my Completed Ground Vehicles collection is the Hobby Boss 1/72 scale German Br-86 Dampflokomotive. I didn't weather this one quite yet since I didn't know how to do it and I don't want to ruin it when I've come so far. So, here it is finally, I'm declaring this one completed:

Okay, that's all I got done so far. I'm starting another job tomorrow so I don't foresee much bench time for a couple weeks. So, enjoy these two latest models and please feel free to comment if you wish. They always keep me motivated to keep going. Thanks for looking in.

Looking good Mark :good: the wheathering is looking great, they where wading around in mud most of the time, so they got pretty dirty, i really like the look of it :)

The Loco is also nice, I have been playing with the thought of building that in 1/35, but so far i don't dare to do that....

Good luck with your new job! (y)

Wow, thanks guys! I haven't had the chance to check in over the last couple days due to work. I do appreciate all the great compliments; they really keep me motivated to build on.

Dave, Yeah, two more to go until that magic number. Hey, I just might make 700 by the end of the year if all goes well!

Mats, as for the loco, I'd say go for it. Just be sure to read the instruction sheet very well to be sure you understand the parts placement fully before trying to add the parts. Also, look really closely at all the parts before you put them on to make sure they are going on correctly. Even though I mostly did that, I still managed to put three parts on backwards and had to pull them off to re-attach correctly. You can do it Mats; you're a better modeler than I, this will be simple for you.

I am really pleased and surprised at how well the Mk IV came out too. That does look pretty good.

Thanks again for all the great comments guys!
