The Duke's Latest Armor

Hey all, here is my latest armor I finished this week. This first one is Roden Opel Blitz Omnibus I just finished up. It isn't quite up to the level of quality I wanted, but the longer I worked on it; the more I broke things and extended the work on it. I finally just wanted to get it finished.

Here it is:

My next one is the Doc Models 1/72 scale CV-35 tankette:

This model is only about an inch long.

This next model is a bit larger. This is the UM models Russian Armored Train "Dzerzhinets". I added some coal to the tender to fill that hole that was screaming for something to fill it:

That's the latest armor I've completed. I've now completed 615 armor models.

Also, feel free to check out my latest aircraft as well. Meanwhile, thanks for looking, comments are welcome.

Thanks James! I liked it too, but it didn't turn out as well as I'd have liked. Someday I'll fill that rack with stowage. I just got a second bus, maybe I'll do better on that one.

Duke:

You are just a building machine!!! I'm guessing that the biggest problems encountered in building the bus were in the rack on top. It looks like it could have been P/E, am I right? That Russky train looks very good sitting next to the German train. Are you going to display them side by side? Very nice job on them all. Even the tankette looks like a fun little build. Keep up the good work my friend.

Thanks Dave! This is actually slow progress for me!

Actually the biggest problems on the bus were the fiddly suspension system, and getting the bus body to sit right on the chassis. yes, the rack is P/E, and I was surprised at how easy it was to add to this model.

Thanks for the compliment on the train. Right now I've been keeping both trains in their respective boxes sine I haven't the space yet to display them on a board. I don't think I'll be displaying them on the same board though. I plan on having one display board showing as many of my German armored rail subjects on one board; and the Russian ones on another board.

Yeah, that tankette was a pretty fun build; very fast and easy to do.

Thanks again for the great compliments.

The first two look awful, I mean their details. But your armored train sets look very nice.

True, but then again, how many 'details' are there on a bus body? B) :v And the Tankette is only about one US inch long; barely 3cm. Kind of hard to really detail out something like that. ;) :v

Thanks for the compliment on the trains. I did some improvements on the German one recently, using techniques I learned from doing the Russian train.
