Spectre Gunship.

Do any of you know if any nation other than USA use something similar to the Spectre gunship?

These must be the ultimate in close support planes

I believe the US is the only country to use the Specter. But the AC-47 was and is used by a few more. and the AC-119 by the US and Thailand.

I had a science teacher in high school that was a Green Beret in Vietnam. He said for nightly entertainment they would sit on the top of their hooch and watch the AC-47 fly fire missions.

I don't believe there is any other nation using a fixed wing gunship. Least I haven't heard of it.

My father has 115 combat missions over Laos in Spectres. He was mostly on the AC130H models.

Yes he did. Loads, but he has them at home in Minnesota. I don't have access to them but hope to someday.
