Here are some pics of my current models, a 1/72 scale Hasegawa Ju 88G-1 and an Amtech 1/72 scale Ju 88H that is being built as a Ju 88G-10 Mistel trainer.
The little 1/72 scale Hasegawa Fw 190A-8 is also being built and will be mounted on the Ju 88G-10.

Here is the cockpit parts before the fuselage halves were glued together.

Some pre-shading applied to the models...

...and here the pre-shading is covered up (I prefer the pre-shading to barely be seen on my models)

Some mottling done on the Ju 88s, the Ju 88G-1 is finished but the Ju 88G-10 still needs the green mottling added to the power eggs and the wings and tail mottling needs some touch ups to get them to look closer to the mottling often seen on the late production Ju 88G-6/G-10.

Fantastic!!! :ro: :ro: :ro:

I love Mistel composite aircrafts, I have a few in my collection 1/48th scale Ju-88G10/S3 and Mistel S2 in 1/72 scale.

All the best!
Dusan.

Thanks Dusan and Moon Puppy!

Moon Puppy,
I might as well start doing some in-progress pics now. B)

Thanks for looking Arturius and Christian!

I very nearly started THREE Ju 88s but wisely cut it down to two, making three at once would be asking for trouble...I learned this a couple years ago when I tried building seven Fw 190s at once.

Here is the Ju 88G-10 after all the mottling is painted on it, looks much better now. :)

Now the Ju 88s are painted I will take care of the Fw 190 next.

No pics right now but instead will tell you about a set back I just had, I was attempting to give the Ju 88G-10 and Fw 190 a clear gloss coat and wanted to try a can of the new acrylic Krylon Clear Gloss I recently bought and I started to spray the models but within a minute after spraying some of the clear on the models I noticed the paint start to crinkle up so I stopped spraying but by then it was too late...the finish was badly damaged in a few spots on the Ju 88G-10 wings and the Fw 190 was only lightly damaged. It would have been much worse if I had sprayed a heavier coat on and glad I stopped spraying when I did.

The Krylon Acrylic clear gloss might be safe on models painted with acrylic paints but for models with enamel finishes it looks like a bad idea.

WOW - that's one of those things we don't want to happen. I'm sorry to hear that.

This some kind of sounds very strange to my ears that a Acrylic clear can harm a dried out Enamel coat - well but you never know.

mlp,
This was quite a surprise to me, years ago I used a spray can of acrylic clear over an enamel finish and had no problems at all. :hmmm
Both the can of spray paint and the models were at room temperature and the paint on the models were painted days ago and fully dry.

I am going ahead and will finish the models as they are, warts and all. Just a short time ago I sprayed on a coat of Future and will start putting on the decals Thursday.

Christian,
I rarely if ever use a new product on my models without testing it on one of my paint mules first and this is one of the few times I did not and it cost me.
After this experience I will go back to using Future. The Krylon was worth a try and was attracted to the claims that it would dry in 20 minutes and would not turn brown with age like Testors dull coat does.

At last, some new pics!

And here is a close-up of the worst of the damage caused by the new formula Krylon acrylic.

The other damaged areas are not as easy to see as this.

Thanks Gene!
The models have been given a thin coat of airbrushed Future and once the Future is fully dried I can start the weathering.

Matrixone

Much of the weathering is done on these models and now I can start the final assembly.
