Can someone please ID this Sherman for me, thinking of doing this for the Sherman Campaign thats going to start soon.

Also which kit would be a fair representation?
 
Use Tasca's M4A3E8 Korean War kit.

It is the correct modified M4A3E8 (see spare road wheel on engine deck hold flat support) with the torsion bar engine deck hatch hinges. You can also see the track links on the sides.

yep, that's an Easy 8, I gotta dig out those other pictures of it.

Also notice the extra gas can racks attached to the sides as well as the spare tracks, which look to be overpainted with camo colors. You can also see an additional stowage rack around the turret. Might be call for some scratch building to get that.

Use some .020 rod for the field mods. Glue the jerry can to the hull in the right spot, drill two holes close on either side, then form the rod around it.

Same same with the turret racks, but you may want to consider brass rod for those. Drill the holes and form the racks, use epoxy putty inside the turret to hold them in place. Any putty that just might "ooze out" can be formed into a weld bead.
