Shep Paine in Hospital

Well-known member
Just came across this on FaceBook. Shep Paine, an inspiration to many of us, is in "stable but critical condition" in hospital after an apparent stroke.

Best wishes for him and his family.

The booklet with his P61 was the reason I always wanted to restart modeling all those years.

Thoughts and prayers to him and his family.

Indeed apparently suffered a major stroke and next few days will be a worrisome time for family and friends alike. Thoughts go out to his family.

I was also inspired by his Dio Book ... My thoughts and Prayers are with Him today and Tomorrow .... :zen :notworthy :zen (y)

Yea the B17 one was the first for me. How to build dioramas was the major push for me, so many years ago. I still look at it from to time.

Thoughts and prayers for him and his family :zen :zen :zen :zen :zen :zen

Shep Paine had a massive stroke monday. I haven't talked to his sisters but the family stated he had been put in a hospice sector, and from what little I know, that isn't a good sign. There is a large tribute to him on Facebook. If I hear any more news, I'll post it. Shep is several years younger than me but I don't remember how many.

Here is a fairly recent photo

Just read that Shep Paine will be moved to the Hospice-care floor of the hospital.

This saddens me to no end :( :zen :zen :zen My thoughts are with him & his family! Hospice care is not a good sign. But, could just be that he'll be given special care since a major stroke is serious business. A year before my dad passed, he had a stroke & they placed him on Hospice care in the hospital so he could get more 1 on 1 care. Hopefully the same for Shep

He has done so much for this wonderful Hobby of ours. All my Thoughts and Prayers go out to Shep and his whole Family.

Have just seen the announcement on FB tribute page that he passed away.

RIP - thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. :( :( :(

Like so many others, I have admired his work and his amazing talent.

Very sad that he is no longer here, but I think many generations to come will find inspiration in his work and learn a lot from his books.
