A little quieter around the house now, I lost Mr. Jasper today from renal lymphoma. He was diagnosed with it in July. He had bladder/urrinary infections when he was younger and had his "plumbing" redone.
Even expecting this day for the past 6 months it still hits pretty hard when it does come. After his normal 0530 breakfast and morning nap with me, he tried to get up but his legs wouldn't support him. After that he had a "1,000 yard stare", his body started going limp and he wasn't really interested in his favourite snacks. So it was time to say goodbye. He was 10 1/2 years old (58 for us). When he was about 1 year old he showed up on my door step and adopted me.
Still have three to keep me in line, Ms. Simba who turns 18 next month and still rules the roost, Mr. Winston is 3 years old and Mr. Purrcy is 2 years old. They all adopted me too.
Jasper in his prime.
