Sadness in Millisor Household

I am sorry to report that my nephew, Nicholas Norton was found dead in his apartment Thursday morning. He worked for DIA and the local police are investigating to rule out murder.

If you are so inclined, please pray for my sister (his mother) Mary C Norton. This is a double tragedy for her as her daughter is leaving for Afghanistan in October, her second tour in 2 years. And please keep my Niece Captain Christina Norton in you thoughts. Once in the sand box was plenty, she got back last July, shipped to Japan in November and is now heading back...

Unfortunately, my sister lives in DC and the memorial service is in Nantucket... (Have you ever priced a hotel in Nantucket in season?)

Thanks to everyone. There will be an Episcopal Funeral Mass tomorrow morning on Nantucket and then his ashes will be spread across the sea. His father's family is an old seafaring clan and it is traditional. His sister is in from Japan, my sister up from DC and all the Nortons will be there.

My sister asked me not to come, she knows how I feel about her ex and is afraid I might do something, after the service (I am not so crass as to ruin a solemn occasion such as a funeral.). She is probably right, I dislike her ex more than anyone I know. Another factor is the price and availability of rooms. None of the hotels had a room available for 2 nights at any discount. This is high season and rooms are at a premium... A Norton family cousin opened up room in her BnB for Mary.

So, that is it. I pray that God shelters his troubled soul and that in the last days Nick may find forgiveness.
