Russian armor tail lights...

Master at Arms
I'm at my wits end trying to find info on these,

I've been searching every possible thing i could think of, I poured over hundreds of photos trying to figure this out.

Does anyone know which was the brake light on a JS-2?

There are four angled light housings on the tank, two facing forward, two back and a cylindrical thing that may or may not be a light. I suspect it is, but it's welded flat to the rear plate, which means it's slightly angled upward. On some there's a metal cover for it, on others it'spainted over or broken and hollow.

Here's a photo of one of the four angled pieces I'm talking about, they are definitely light housings but I suspect it's some sort of navigational light since they frame the tank.

The one piece cylinder would be my guess for the brake light, but I can't confirm.

It's the same on a JS-3 too, just different sides of the hull.

Any ideas or info would be a serious help.

Those are the driving position lights. Always white. Brake lights, if fitted, where within an armored cylinder as on the KV.

Regards,

Thanks Saul, that's a big help.

I turns out the JS-2 light harness is actually the same for their KVs, that's why they suggest leaving the brake light off. The clear sprue with the headlight has the KV style tail lens.
