Original Red Dawn was good enough for me, but then again, I was hating on the new True Grit before I saw it.

Seems they are bankrupt of ideas in Hollywood. Nothing against the Tuskigee Airmen but that story has been told, a couple of times. Never seen a movie about Dominic Gentile and John T. Godfrey ace race, or even Gabby Gabreski who was an ace in two wars, or how about Gen Robin Olds or even the Eagle Squadron?

There's so much out there that can be done but they don't do it.

The new Red Dawn was changed form the last time I read about it. It went from the Chinese invasion to the North Koreans? Really? Like a Chihuahua attacking a Great Dane...

I read about that, like they didn't want to offend any Communist Chinese, rather they didn't want to hurt their chances of playing in the Chinese market.

The trailer just turned me off. I was expecting so much more, but its looking like a Pearl Harbor type movie. Just my thought

Got to see the trailer just now. Looks like they are putting them in England instead of Italy. The B17s look to be of the 381BG (Who has a great website! http://www.381st.org ).

Gotta wonder about Hollywood at times...they were never even in England-- far as I know they went right from Africa and their P-40's and -39's to Italy...
