QLR conversion on CWT

Hi all,
Almost gave up, no way to get the roof fit right, 3-dimensional warping....
But then I saw this pic, a kind of gutter ?
Don't know if this was standard or field work, but who cares, this is a life-saver :woohoo:
Some evergreen and yes !!
All Resin and PE on..
And the primer
Now I can start painting the inside cab.

Hi all,
More progress !
Im still a student, watching the modelling-wizards doing all kind of things.
I noticed that some of them do not limit themselves to simple two color-modulation, but use all gradiations
, sometimes almost overdone (in my eyes).
But still, at the end, a masterpiece comes together.
So this is my first attempt in this.
I modulated from dark brown to almost white, very strong, this is the result.
Shoot me if you don't like it ! Or even better, tell me what's wrong.
Next: chips, scrathes, dust, sand, the real weathering.

Hi all,
Weathering.
While combat vehicles usually did not last very long in the frontline, a radio truck could survive
much longer with some luck.
So while both can be very dusty/muddy, the truck might have more paint damage and scratches.
Always at your own will of course, you don't have to do anything, it's your model.
Well, everybody uses his own sequence.
Mine is:
- chipping/scratches (with a small sponge and/or brush)
- rain/dirt stripes if appropiate
On the dio (to obtain same colors)
- dust and dirt filters
- pigments (specially below fenders and on wheels)
Here the first step is done, where chipping is logically stronger on edges and lower parts.
I gave some chips a spot of rust, where even the primer is damaged.
Intensive used spots, like handles and steps will obtain some blank metal chips.
The rain stripes will be skipped, not very logical in the desert.
Next I will add the opened doors. I leave them off as long as possible, they tend to break of many
times during the build and painting.
So far this Armoured Fury article, next time you see this QLR it will be on a dio (desert 7)
