"Piece of Cake"

Some may remember this UK mini-series from 1988, based on Derek Robinson's book, about the exploits of "Hornet" Squadron during 1939-40. The series is now on You Tube for your viewing pleasure. It was made before the days of CGI so the flying scenes are real aircraft and "Hornet" Sqn is fying Spitfires (mostly Mk IX's) instead of the Huricane as in the book.

Piece of Cake

Cheers,
Rich

Thank you Rich, never heard of this, just watched the first 10 minutes and looking forward to seeing the rest. Thanks!

I bought a 3 DVD set of this series a half dozen years ago, it was also shown serial fashion on PBS's Master Piece Theater. It does give a decidedly different look at RAF squadron life apart from the romantic version often presented and some good flying stuff as well.
