I'm confused, how's this a failure?

It's the 7th time trying to get the numbers on this wreck

When I'm doing a painting or drawing I can tell when it is starting to go bad.

Got the Wiking 5th SS division markings on the front mud guard and rear plate. I decided to cut masks and airbrush them on. Flubbled up on the rear plate one a little, but it should blend in with the weathering okay.

Got a fuel barrel that looks okay. I've decided to remove the fuel can and extra stowage rack and mount the barrel instead.

BTW, James, I was so tickled that you posted the bracket I had to show my wife. Now, bare in mind, her suggestion for anything I'm making is tape & putty, but this time she looked at it and said, paper clip

Tim if you have any kind of a drafting or simple CAD program, you can do print outs of the patterns, then get some 3M double sticky sided photo adhesive tape and attach it to the back. The photo adhesive tape is about as sticky as post it notes or a bit less. Then place it on glass and with a sharp #11 blade cut it out. They end up a bit thick, but work quite well unless you spray thick and wet.
