I've had good results spraying Vallejo on models in the past. But on this build when their Dunkelgelb started spitting chunks on the model I decided it was time to look for something else. The Tamiya thinned to the ball park of skim milk, like I'd thin the Vallejo was smooth as silk.

So I need to add the markings before I continue. The decals provided for the 5th SS Panzer Wiking are not going to work around the visors on the turret, I tried. So now I'm laying the numbers out to free hand them. My wife, sensing I was stressed suggesting that maybe I should try something different to relax...like the YoYo

Of course NOT. However given this new issue with the markings I did press on the visors hoping the glue might not of held...you know, like it never does when you need it to...

Actually they were (I believe) hand painted on for the most part, so these look just fine for the most part.

It just doesn't seem to want to come together and it's kind of sloppy work. I'll finish it at some point, though.

You're good Paul and on the mark. I knew it wasn't going to fly as soon as I pulled the masks off. It's only the 6th time I've painted over failed attempts at the numbers. It gets frustrating, but I'm refining the masks for another try.

8 hrs of masking for 5 minutes of airbrushing on the numbers. I also painted over the stowage bin and redone (re-did?...Idk I'm from the holler) it's numbers. Still not perfect, but I'll live with them. Especially since they're going to be weathered down anyway.
