Painting AB Cans

Anyone got any thoughts on painting AB Can interiors? I'm looking for the dusty beigeish look of a used can. Got some Model Master Acrylic Jet exhaust, but while brushing it on a test piece it looks kind of goldish. Maybe lite coats from an airbrush look better. Would appreciate any thoughts and or paint combos, or the such.

can't really say i've put that much thought into it James. I haven't done that many cans anyway but I'm interested in the answers.
