Number 670 is Completed by the Duke.

Well, I finally made it to 670 armor models finished, 30 more to go until that magic number of 700 is reached!

Here it is, the RPM 1/72 scale Renault FT-17 tank in US Army markings. The weathering isn't as visible as I'd like in these pics, but I think it looks pretty good in person:

This little beastie was built OOB and that was tough enough with 28 pieces per running gear assembly!

Here it is sitting in the Mack Tank Transporter that I'd built earlier to hold this:

That's all for now. Thanks all for looking in, comments are always welcome.

Nice Duke. Like it in the bed of the truck. If I find a truck like that in 1/35 might do that with mine.

Looks very Good Mark ..... I don't knowt hat much about French Armor .... so I was wondering about the extra bit on the back of it ..... :eek:ldguy

Thats used to clear a trench. Gives the extra bit of legnth. Not sure how well they worked though. I believe the FT-17 was also the first tank used by the US?

Thanks for the great replies guys! I'm real happy with this one. Gerry, it looks like your question was answered. MP, I agree that is Mack Tough! James, I do hope you find a 1/35th Mack soon. Until then, I think I'll enjoy having a unique model on display.

Mark, that is one sweet looking build. That was something I was interested in putting together. I love how it all came together. Wonderful build my friend. I hope you put that in for the WWI group build, along with your Mk.IV. Congrats.

Dave

Thanks Dave! I am glad this duo is finally finished. I would love to see you do one too. I can't add this or the MkIV to the WWI Campaign because I never entered them properly and completed them outside the campaign. But they are on my completed shelf and ready for the contest circuit!

Thanks Zod! Wow, it's been a long time since someone called me Maynard! :blink Love it! :woohoo: :woohoo: :good:

Thanks Warren! Ever since I saw the box art showing this truck carrying one of these tanks, I'd wanted to replicate it. It does look even better than the box art!

I've seen pictures of it as well. Thats why I want to try it myself as well. I'll have to try to get them both from Squadron, if possible to build a WWI Tank Transporter w/tank.

Dave

Good luck with it Dave; I do want to see it when you're done. RPM has another tank transporter truck, this time a Flatbed truck. I'm hoping to get that one soon. Once it's done; I'll have completed all the RPM Mack Truck offerings.
