Here we go. Simple build.

A bit of gluing going on. Trying to figure some of the options with only a little luck. Have 2 schemes picked and not sure which one I want. I must say I am not thrilled with the new plastic. Its harder than grey and harder to clean up. The detail though is stunning. Upper hull just sitting at the moment.

Did you prime it in the red oxide primer already applied or is that the color of the sprues? If it's the latter, very interesting...

Thats the sprue colour. Almost all of them are red. Figures in grey and clear. Metal barrel although it is missing some detail which the plastic barrel has. You can buy a working track separately which includes working torsion bars and a separate interior and finally resin decal zimmerit.

Damn it needs a second and third color plastic to be as cool as a Matchbox kit with that color plastic :woohoo: :D

:popcorn

Nice start James! I plan to start mine as soon as I get the YF-23 to the paint booth! :soldier

That plastic is an odd color!

Looks good, James! How does the plastic react to liquid cement? I think the red oxide plastic could work well if one gets over zealous with the weathering and rubs thru the paint. :good:

Tamiya glue is great but clean up is harder. Also there are gates on narrow edges that are hard to clean. So far though I like it. If you get the basic kit it is not only half the price of other brands but quick to build.

It looks like Fruil tracks will fit this kit. I hate link and length so have looked through my stash for an alternative. I found the Fruil tracks but it only had a few spares. Bummer. Seeing if anyone in town has some before I order online and have to wait.
Pics sometime soon.

If you plan to use all the fenders, Friuls are a waste of money, they will be mostly hidden. Trust me and glue up the kit tracks (see all of Iron Mike's KT builds if you have questions)., You'll 'ave another 50 bob in yer wallet and thank me! :D

Well very little modeling again. This week a mixed bag of reasons not to build. Right now I'm fighting a nasty bug a co worker brought to work. Anyways last night I was determined to do something and so primed the lower hull and road-wheels and turret interior. First time trying the new Ammo of Mig One Shot primer. WOW am I impressed. It came out a nice smooth flat black. Will try the grey on some figures. Then of course I was up all night and at 0400 gave in and painted the base yellow before getting ready for work. This is from the German Cam colour set that came out for the Takom KT's. Again WOW and I impressed. So now to paint the steel and weather the lower hull sometime hopefully soon.

Well played a bit with some wash and not sure I'm too thrilled with it. Also tried touching up the bolts on one wheel after the wash and again not sure how I feel. Of course I did manage to miss one wheel completely. So this is what I managed last night before bed.
