From Takom some very cool vehicles.

A KRAZ 260. I believe this should be Ukrainian and not Russian.

Yup KRAZ is Kremenchuts'ky Avtomobil'ny Zavod or Kremenchuk Automobile Plant from Kremenchuk Ukraine.

Oh man! Love the old D7s

When my Dad returned from Korea he was assigned to Fort Jackson as a range NCO of one of the firing ranges.

That's not Dad driving but the dozer looks familiar don't it?

Very cool, I wonder what is the difference between the Military and Civilian versions of the D7?

Bet its olive drab :geek

I'm thinking the same, Tom that dozer in my picture would have been military, they were building up the berms for the backstop on one of the firing ranges.
Check out the rest of the picture from that series.

Green paint and a star, that's it, eh Dave?

Nice pics Moon, thanks.

Was wondering what it would take to make it a civilian version, I'm guessing not much.
Would be cool to do a dio with a derelict one.

Tom

All we need now is a scrapper to go with that tractor :good:

Love the photos MP :D

Thanks for pointing these out James (y)

I got excited about the D7, guess it's in my blood :rotf

This is interesting

Could we see this as the evolution of the 8Rad?

Yes Sir you could say that for sure. :good:

As a matter of fact,it is not a APC like Chukw guessed, but it is a recce vehicle.
It has 2 driver stations, one in the front and one in the back, like the German WW2 8Rads.
It's been in service with the German armored recce units for decades, but now it's getting phased out and it is getting replaced by the Fennek.
Major con of the Luchs is its big size (you want to keep a low profile in reconnaissance as much as possible)
