Hi Stug III.
Welcome to T&T. And I gotta agree with you about the absolute explosion of super sweet kits, resin, and photo etch that we have been able to see the last 15 years. It's been like a styrene water fall :cheer: . Anyways, come on in, and check the place out here. Maybe even consider sharing some of your work with us. Ummm, something like a Stug III maybe
. And check out the Group Builds. They are a great way to get to know everyone, and they are lots of fun too.

Well there are such a heap of mighty nice kits around nowadays , hardly a day goes by that something new comes out and I say "Ooooh I gotta have one of them !"
But it is a great hobby with lots of happy helpful people on TnT to share it with .

After many years away from German tanks, this site has surely renewed my interest.
A lot has happened on the market, many new sets I would have said would never come, years ago.

Thank you all for you nice welcome Actually I havent build anything for almost 15-17 years, I stopped after beeing beaten by Italierie, with their Stug III, I had a scratchbuild one, and was alomost done, when they hit the market with theirs, even though I was rather happy with what I had done, it couldn't off course compare with theirs hmy:
After this I took up painting flat figures (zinnfiguren) and havent done anything else since.
Have bought Stug III, the Ausf B recently. Seeing this site made me feel like old times, people devoted to a great hobby :cheer:
My main interest is Germany 1937-1942, all included

Things are a bit more pricy since you took your sabaticle, but in most
respects they are way better...
By the way, it never fails that just about the time you finish a scratch
built project, someone come out with a new kit... :evil: :evil: :evil:
I'm sure we would love to see what you did scratch build wise and any or
your old school stuff too.
This is a great bunch that really enjoys sharing and looking at others models
too. Jump right into one of the group builds or show off whatever you have
going (flats are really cool too) "the and things" part of the group covers
it all.

I am surprised, Shawn, that you know of flats not many are familiar with these.
I have really enjoyed flexing my painting abilities on these flats, but as said before, seeing this site, and the progrees in quality on the sets these days, have turned my attention, again
Indeed it killed me to see first my Panzer 1, coming as a set, and then the Stug III
I think though,I have recovered now B) B)
I dont think I have them anymore, will have to look in my secret hideaways

I think that you might be surprised by how many modellers got started in figure painting by painting flats. If I'm remembering correctly they are still being produced.

Stug III, There is a person up this way (Washington State) that brought some incredible flats of British women to the contest at Port Townsend last year. WOW. they were really impressive. I will see if I have any pictures? Which I'm sure that I do. My e-mail address
