Let's see if I can explain. The Who's Online thingy down at the bottom of the forum page is broke. Kunena, the forum software, blames Joomla, the webpage software, Joomla doesn't care that Kunena can't read the who's online properly and tells them to sort it out. To the best of my knowledge Kunena has not been able to sort it out.
You'll notice that not only are you not showing up online but it's reporting that only 1 Member is online when it shows at least 4 members listed.
Want to see who's online, look at the "Who's Online?" Module out on the front page.
Edit: looks like they may be narrowing in on the problem.

I'm not one to edit the code of the software itself. Had that come back and bite me a while back. We'll see if they update the code in the next version or not.

Did a little more digging. this fix relates only to the number of users/guest online. Not the bigger issue of "Who's Online". I ended up applying the fix so at least that number matches who's listed.
