Model Stash Mistakes

Have you ever known you have a kit in your stash and then gone and bought all the AM for it so you can trick it out to the max??? Have you then found you dont really have that model at all??? I was absolutely sure I had a Mirage III in my stash and bought a cockpit for it and then a whole whack of extra bits to trick it out. I am eying a set of decals on ebay to make an Argentinian model from the Falklands war. Guess who doesnt have a Mirage III? Yup you got it. I have a Mirage V BR. Aaaaaggggghhhhhhhh
Anyone else do this at all?

Well...I've gotten AM stuff for things I don't have with the intent to get them. The P47 for example. I had the barrels long before I had the kit.

My issues seems to run toward buying something and then not being able to find it, so I buy another. Guess what shows up as soon as I get home? :laugh:

What make and scale do you need James. As far as I heard the Heller 1/48 ones are the best. Loads of them to be had here.

1/32 Revel. Have everything for it. Guess what I found when looking for a barrel, another exhaust for the Mirage 3.

Yep James, this always happens to me when I get a Mirage III.

My biggest issue seems to be buying AM for a particular kit more than once. At one time I had every thing in a spread sheet but keeping the spread sheet up to date was taking up all my modeling time :facepalm

If you could take a picture of this situation James it could be the poster child of why I keep a small stash- but don't worry, you're not alone. i used to have the same problem when I collected comics!
