M113

Sherman 18

Master at Arms
Here is a M113 in 1/35 scale from Academy. I started this thing years ago too. Yep packed it when I moved could not find it after twice. Now over three years later I uncovered it. The M113 will be IDF with AEF Designs conversion. To be honest I really don't remember the version name, I always called it the Madona armor. The interior is almost done. I added wire and bits here and there. I going to have to work it in with the rest of the stuff I have going on. Should not take much, just time :idonno

(M.P. beat me to it. Thanks for the edit button)

Let me be the first to say " It looks Great!"
Its always a shame that all that meticulous interior work gets hidden.
Thanks for sharing.

that's cool! that will look lovely when done (it already does look great!)

i wonder how many treasures are still hidden in your moving boxes!

Thanks guys and gals!

Yeah I keep finding stuff like, a M32, a Type 59, M10, M4A1 76mm (it is painted just need to finish weathering and add junk to it), a M48A2CG2 master I rebuilt for AEF (did not remember even getting that back), 3 M47s (yeah 3) lots of parts and pieces here and there. Funny part I can't find 3 kits I started and want to work on. The car kits been in the mood for Hot Rods lately. Instead of the glass being half empty, as Moon Puppy says its like having new projects again. Going to Fort Riley tomorrow for equipment photos. Sunday I want to just sit and play with the plastic if I can.

Nice! .... I´ve a M-113 on my workbench waiting for someday! (an Spanish army ambulance). Y really love that box shaped vehicle. Nice conversion!

Really nice interior detail, including the pinup.Real interesting subject, looking foward to the finish.

Thanks for the comments everyone!

I tried using some paint pigments. I did not like the out come just looked like I dumped powder all over. So since I have watched Ken Abrams wethering videos, I thought I'll put some rubbing alcohol in there and work it around. Then it looked like I smeared mud in places. I continued to work with it and ended up putting it up for a few days. Came back to it this morning and looked at after drying, I did get the look I was after. Did some high lighting with a silver pencil. About to seal it up and move to the outside. Waiting for the clear on the gauges to dry. Shot these pictures today.
