Lock down

The whole of England is now back in lockdown for another 6 weeks.. This means its now illegal to leave home except for emergency's/essential or food.
Probably a good reason to have a stash of models (as well as food) :)
Anyway i predict more bench time and probably model making burn out before long. I am lucky, i work from home with my business however as i am a mail order business i have yet to see how going out to the post office is going to work. it may be classed as "essential" for working from home and so allowed.
The worst of it is only 2 people are allowed in a shop like my village post office at a time so you have to que outside and wait your turn and its sub zero here today.......the wait can be 30 mins with a dozen parcels and if its raining.........
You just have to get on with it and think there are a lot of people very ill and a lot worse off than me.
Now...pass me my glue :)

Good luck Paddy, looking forward to your builds.
We're dealing with a new surge as well. They don't pull off lock downs in the US like they do in other places. This virus is taking a toll on more people than ever before.
Hit's hitting my family very hard right now, harder than I care to think about.

Hang in there, Paddy. I think everyday of how there are people in a lot worse situation right now and feel for them.

My whole family came down sick the week before Christmas and we all had to get tested. There were a couple cases at my daughters school. Fortunately, they came back negative. I felt like they tickled my brain though with the swab!

They really jab it up there and have to wiggle it around for about 5 seconds. Brings tears to your eyes!

Hang in there, the vaccine is being rolled out now, they have done the first 1.5m here starting with the oldest and working down, they think they will have us all done by the end of Feb. My heart goes out to those that dont make it.

I was tested in November after Step-Son #3 tested positive. Negative, of course. I had to sit at home for 10 workdays and then... the school went virtual until Jan 11. Got zero real modeling in, too busy with holiday preparations.

Got my first CCP virus test today. (negative) do have bronchitis which has been hanging around for a bit so needed some Z-pack to kick it finally. My nurse practitioner asked me the questions about symptoms and yes I had mild symptoms 2 different times, but never really thought much about it.

Hi Paddy, we had a hard core lockdown for most of 2020, with masks and social distancing, with fines and criminal charges if you broke the rules, as well as all states having closed borders and no leaving your home, town or city. Masks everywhere.
Its worth it ....we have virtually zero cases now and no deaths for quite some time even without the vaccine.
Ian.

You are doing better than us Ian, we have about 1000 deaths a day and 60,000 new cases a day, to put that in perspective England is about the size of California. Cal has about 40m, we have about 55m but land area is the same.

Good luck :)

Unfortunately our circus run by the chief clown dont have a clue what they are doing and so very few have gotten the vaccine compared to the rest of the world. So hanging in but still having to go to work and wait for exposure.

"If we do not hang together we shall certainly hang separately."

This whole thing stinks and has since the fear mongers took over the narrative.

To quote the poet: "Eat your food, drink your wine, and love a lady fair"

I'm rearranging the Man Closet to accommodate a new table for the spraybooth. and getting back to several already started kits. Get that stuff done before launching new projects.

But I did just get that P-43 from DORA...
