Lighting at Model Shows

Hi All
Having just returned from the AMPS show I must say the lighting at the venue was pretty decent.

However alot of the models appeared very dark. I assuming this is because we like lots and lots
of light on our workbenches.

So what I'm wondering is...if you are planning to display a model at a show, should you purposely
keep the finish on the lighter side?

Any thoughts?

I would never compromise the model simply because the people running a show can't provide adequate lighting. I've been to many model shows where the lighting has been dismal and no "lightening" of the models paint job would help.

The weathering process drives a lot of finishes to the dark side, it's scary to make the base coat light enough. In my opinion, I try to make a build look good in natural light.
