No wait, it is May and the Victoria Day long weekend.
Wednesday it was 26 C (79 F) and a rural area northwest of Edmonton was under an evacuation order due to an out of control brush fire. A day of steady light rain yesterday changed to snow overnight as the temperature dropped to 0C (32C).
Its now Friday morning, the lawns, roofs and trees are white and it is still snowing. On the plus side, it's not sticking to the roads (yet) and the leaves aren't out on the trees yet so damage should be minimal. A wintry mix will continue thru today and into Saturday with up to 4cm (1.5in) accumulaion forecast. Temperatures will surge up to 1C (34F) today. Saturday afternoon's forecast high is 6C (43F).
Cheers,
