Hiya chris not 100% sure about this but when i was researching L R D G for my Dio i'm sure i read they didnt use the Bren on L R D G patrols they didnt like them they prefered the Vickers or the Lewis, i know you can never say never but there are a few good L R D G sites on the net might be worth having a look.

Hi Chris,

I would have to agree with carabinier.

The LRDG originally started using the vickers and lewis and later upgraded onto the
extra's like the 30cal and 50cal at a later stage when the lend/lease stuff started coming through.
The Bren mount was a cumbersome setup and would have limited traverse in the cab.
As a secondary support weapon when on foot out of the vehicle this would have
been used 100%.

I found limited ref as well for the bren to be used mounted on the vehicle .
But , you never say never used :)
The Tamiys kit is a great vehicle to dress up and use .

Michael:)

Cheers guys for the info i saw a pic on the webb of the model made up which really inspired me for this model and they had put it on but felt a bit like you as it had a browning mounted in the back and the Lewis mounted on the side behinde the passenger ,i agree it would have been used more with support away from the vehicle,
Cheers Fellas
