In-Progress I/35 scale Tamiya M-551 Sheridan

Tankbuilder

Hi there.

Here are some images of the Tamiya M-551 Sheridan I have been working on.

All the bins on the turret and rear deck plus the commander's Armor are scratch-built. Stretchers were taken from an old very badly damaged Tamiya M-113 A.C.A.V. kit. The wire netting on the stowage baskets is made from a piece of pantyhose. The tank riders are all converted Tamiya Armored Troops. They will be getting the much better Dragon weapons rather than the Tamiya ones. The Jerry cans are Italeri.

Hey there Sherman!

Thanks a lot for the praise. My profile image is one of my three Sherman Firefly's with the 17 pounder gun. These were the early Dragon 'Imperial Series' releases and I like them quite a bit although I cheated and swapped Tamiya Vinyl tracks for the individual link to link Dragon ones that are a right royal pain to assemble.

Some day I'm going to get some Panther tracks so I can use them as supplemental armor on one of my Shermans as I have an image of that.

Cheers from Peter
