MT-207 (Wnr 14741) served with several units during the Continuation War following its delivery in Mar 1943. Lt Tervo scored 5 victories while flying it in Jul 1943. In Aug 1944 it was sent to the State Factory for battle damage repairs. In May 1946, sporting the typical Finnish scheme of Olive Green/Black over Light Blue with the new Finnish roundels, it was assigned to HLeLev.33. It was written off following a landing accident in Oct 1952. The last Bf 109 was retired in March 1954.

The venerable Hasegawa kit builds up pretty quickly with minimal filling and little polishing of seam lines. A couple of holes and panel lines need to be filled on the fuselage, extra panel lines scribed on the upper out board surface of the wing and the opening for the retractable tail wheel cut out for the G-2 version. The cockpit isn't highly detailed but the black grey interior hides most of it. I did add the yellow fuel flow line from wire and seat belts. The biggest disappointment was the resin G-2 cowl included with the kit. It is much shorter than the space it is meant to fill, hence the white styrene section that had to be added and blended into the fuselage contours. The Finns removed the ETC rack from their G models unless they were assigned to long endurance roles such as night fighters. They also removed the underwing gun packs as they reduced maneouverability. The elevators were separated, the leading edges rounded and a curve added to the trailing rdge of the stabilizer to glue the elevators back on with a slight droop. The main flaps, radiator flaps and slats are separate parts in the kit and will be added in the dropped position. The rough looking seam on the supercharger intake is supposed to be there. It is the weld joining the intake halves together
