I want a gun!

May be a little late, but there is this one too.

Kinda spendy though...

Never too late Tom- That is a 12 CM! Its nearly a 5 inch gun, thats bigger than the 88- keep 'em coming. I'de like to keep this thread on big guns growing, maybe i'll start a thread dedicated to these?

I have my guns- the 88 came from Sprue, the 40 from my local, it was only $6.75...

more stuff for my meager pile. Thanks. CR

Hey,Cr.

That Tamiya PAK 40 is quite good for a 1970's kit.I ones made it myself.

The soldiers gear, like the gasmaskcontainers and breadbags are somewhat unsatisfactory.

Ofcourse you could use some photo-etch set to bring the PAK 40 up to date.I am not sure which company does PE for it though.
Have fun with it! :)

Greetings,Ron.

The 40 gun crew are some of the worst Tamiya figures i have ever seen. I have about 24 German infantry now- only one is done, just don't do figures.

There's photo etch for the Dragon 40, I don't know if it'll work on the Tamiya?

Hey CR,...if you hate the old Tamiya figures, you could always TRY this...

[I didn't try it up to now,but maybe someday....] ;)

Greetings,Ron.

Great link Ron!

Here is the one I would like to do one day.
800px-Denel_G6-45_Ysterplatt_Airshow_2006.jpg

It is called an G6 It is 155mm 45km Range normal - 55km with Baseblead - 75km with rocket assist.

The weels are 6foot high and I had the pleasure of once beeing an fire control officer for it. It is only available as resin at about $100 way out of my price range but one day :D

It is also acredit with an official Mig 'Kill" during the atack on Luanda in Angola during our border war. And has an top speed of 110Km in the open field. :D we once had it doing 130km/h on am open road.

is that a mobile rocket rack? Have to look that up.

I want the quad 3cm flak and the single version, all on the cruciform stands like my 88- no wheels. Nice to have a kit where I don't have to paint tires! lol

It sure is,Nebelwerfer is German.Katyusha is Soviet. Calliope is American.

that's great! The problem with those is no aim, and no reload because you have to be the hell away! from those things when they are firing. barrage weapons are ugly...

What was the name of that box the Tornados carried? It shot one volley from both sides, like 2,000 projectiles then dropped the box when empty and bolted? What was that called?

here it is

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MW-1

the MW-1 Mehrzweckwaffe 1, yes I had to paste that! lol

Here's it's ammo capability...

http://www.harpoondatabases.com/Encyclopedia/Entry1102.aspx

Kinda like artillery.

The cluster munition is just a bigger type of weapon as the Rockeye and BL-755. Just a slightly different dispersal method. The Nebelwerfer et al had a rudimentary aiming methods and could be reloaded fairly quickly. Used extensively during the war too.

Greetings Guy, & Gals,

When I was in the US Navy, on occasion I would
go to Alexandra, Va. and visit Interarm's retail
store. They had a Nebelwerfer 42 in front of the
store. It was for sale. I never did ask how much
they wanted for it.... :woohoo:

kryptosdaddy,

Line Roar make two nice kits of the Nebelwerfer 42.

You can fine them here...... Armor -- Sprue Brothers Models LLC Online Store.htm
