This is relating to the modern tactical scheme era only, not the early '80s and earlier hi-vis era. Those I don't mind, as that is how they flew into combat.
So while browsing through decals for modern USN combat aircraft (lo-vis mid-80's on), I've been getting frustrated by the complete lack of operational options. It seems like 80% (or more) of the available decals (both kit & aftermarket) have gone to the bright, gaudy (my opinion) CAG bird decals. If you are extremely lucky, there may be a standard lo-vis option included...but it's a rarity. What originally started as just a little splash of color, quickly escalated in a few years turning 1 or 2 aircraft in each squadron into essentially flying murals.
So my question for you all is... Am I alone in my desire for the functional lo-vis markings for my tactical scheme aircraft?
