Keep up the good fight there Paul! Glad to hear you have some relief from the back pain. I do know how that goes and have been lucky in the mine has settled back down to almost perfect for the first time since my leg surgery in 2012.

The turbo supercharger is what the designers had in mind since it operates better at higher altitude.
They were a well armored aircraft though which would make them more suitable for ground attacks . I think they also did not have the range that the P-51's had.

I did some playing around with the extreme metal by AK interactive. So far it looks as if it will work pretty well only if I can get my stuff straight in the prep work. I did find out that you have to make sure that there are no sanding marks un-polished or it will show.
The stab on the left has the black base and the one on the right doesn't. The color is Chrome and although I did not get the full mirror like finish what I wound up with seems to work.

Paul I found the AK Chrome really doesn't look like Chrome. The AlcladII Polished Aluminum is really my favorite.
Prep that stab up some more and squirt it again, it'll work out fine.

This will be my last update on this project until after the move next week. I have a bunch of stuff accumulated over the past 7 or 8 years that need boxing up or tossed out. I kinda rushed this but it came out OK for my first non acrylic paint job. It's a big learning curve and I think I can get better results next time so here we go...
I should have done these pics inside and more subdued lighting so you could see better, anyway, it will look better after all the stickers and weathering are done.
