You guys stay safe!! I grew up on the North Carolina coast, and I know how bad these things get. My thought are with you.

I saw post that he was stuck working at a hospital, and that his family was in the dark- this was yesterday at 5pm his time. Good luck, Garcia family!

Just got in from my road trip and wanted to catch up on this thread. I had to alter my route because of the winter storm that spun off from Sandy in the Western North Carolina mountains. 3 of the 4 others on the crew have had flight canceled and they are holed up in Nashville till they can get back to NJ.

Hope everyone is ok, please check in when you can. :mpup

Hang in there Glenn,

We're used to the flooding here in Missouri, but it looks pretty bad there. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.

Although sometimes it doesn't seem so, it will get better!

Bob

Glenn good to know you doing ok out there. If I could help with something let meu know!

Be safe brother!

For sure Bob.

Any news of Cheyenne?
Searching in the online-newspaper I found that Watertown was hit hard
but don't find anything our friend.

Keep in my prayers.

I tried to call Glenn this morning and only got voice mail and it was full. Knowing Glenn, he would be too busy helping his neighbors to answer anyway.

Well , we're alive but beat to hell , things are bad , real bad , ...... John , hate to say this but L.B.I. is all but destroyed , no one is allowed on the island . The ocean cut through to the bay in Loveladies , most certain in other places also .

We lost power at 3 or 4 pm Monday the day Sandy hit , just got power back , been working at the middle school shelter , it's pretty sad , ocean and bayfront properties are gone , ........ gone .

We had a lot of trees down , the cracking in the woods behind the house sound like incoming , for hours , never saw trees bend like that , then the crack and the tops flew , flew through the air .

I'm at the library now using their puter.
Got power back yesterday morning , cable too , ......... the phones are shot though , we lost a 900 pair cable that feeds our beach community , no phones or internet maybe for weeks .

We had trees [ luckily ] fall over on the house , just did a slow fall and rest on the roofs .
No real damage .
Spent a good deal of time removing them , big suckers .
Well I'll be good for firewood for some time .

Thanks for all your concerns , we're beat to shit , ..... but alive , gotta go , when the phone lines are working again I'll be back .

Glad to hear from you Glenn, knew you'd be out helping your neighbors. Please let us know if we can do anything!

Ah man real glad to hear you guys are ok!!!

Thoughts and prayer!

Terry
