HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE (ARMOR)

How long does it take you to build an armor model with a moderate amount of detail?

Terry

Not as long....two reasons:

1. I usually build 1/48 scale so they go together easy!

2. No canopies!

I said less than a month because I can get done with most of my armor within a week, given time. The only exception is the Dora which is going on a year now (mostly because I haven't worked on it in a month or so now.)

Then again, most all of my armor IS only four inches long or less! :D

There's usually two or three kits in progress at my bench, looking at past production outputs, I have averaged about 12 finished builds per year. At that rate, I won't live long enough to build all the stash. :blink :pinch: :hmmm

It depends for me.If I really enjoy a build it can be a month or less, but if I start to encounter problems or the carpet monster is especially hungry then it can stretch into eternity.

Of course you know the real answer to this question is "What ever it takes, baby!" :D

it all depends. I'm not a rivit counter so "most" of my kits are two weekenders. I'm a 99% OOB builder.

the only two that took longer were my Sgt Oddball sherman and the M2A2 to M2A3 converstion.

but mostly two weekends do it for me.

Usually it takes me 4-6 weeks.not because I need all that time, but I work in small increments usually a 1/2 hr or less depending on what my schedule permits.I figure it's not a race, just a pastime.
