Me262 A-1a/U5
The Me262 A-1a/U5 carried an armament of six MK108 cannon.
Only one prototype (W.Nr.112355) was fitted with this installation under the designation.
This aircraft made it's way to Jagdverband 44
Armament - Rheinmetall-Borsig MK 108 30mm cannon
There were two main types of ammunition for the MK 108 to use, a 30 mm high-explosive self-destroying tracer ("M-Shell" or "Mine-Shell") and a 30 mm incendiary shell.
The first type was designed to cause a maximum blast effect by combining a very thin shell casing with the maximum load of explosive.
Tests carried out at Rechlin (where most of the Luftwaffe aircraft and weapons tests were done) showed that with an "M-Shell" with 85 grains of explosive, five hits could destroy a B-17 or B-24 bomber.
The second type of shell, the incendiary, was meant to be targeted at the fuel tanks of the enemy plane.
Since some penetrating force was still needed to overcome the armor or airframe of the target, and not have the shell break up or explode upon contact, a hydrodynamic fuse was fitted so that the shell only exploded once it came into contact with liquid.
Combat in the Me 262 A-1a/U5 flown by Major Heinrich Bär
In February, Bär was transferred to command the jet fighter training unit III./Ergänzungs-Jagdgeschwader 2 (EJG 2).
In March, the unit was equipped with the Messerschmitt Me 262 fighter and sent into battle.
Bär shot down 13 enemy aircraft, many of them heavy bombers like the B-17 and the B-24, bringing his score to 217.
On 23 April, Bär transferred to the elite Jet Experten unit Jagdverband 44 (JV 44), led by Adolf Galland.
On 26 April, he assumed command of the unit when Galland was wounded. Bär possibly flew his first operational sortie with JV 44 on 27 April 1945.
Flying the Me 262 A-1/U5, a six MK 108 cannon prototype, he was accompanied by Major Wilhelm Herget and the non-commissioned officer NCO (Unteroffizier) Franz Köster when the trio engaged American fighters over Riem; Bär claimed one aerial victory.

nice box art but think somehow that P-51 wouldn't look that good after 6 Mk 108 30mm were fired at it!
The decal sheet was covered with a type of grease proof paper,if you look at decals 2 there is some marks over them, not sure if that paper caused that or if it is the quality of the decals.
I would suggest if you buy a newer HB kit re cover the decals with better GP paper
ribbing in the fuselage is a nice touch
crisp and clean details here
Now if you are like me and hate those pesky injection marks, have a good look, I think even the
Tamiya 262's have worse! Included front and back to view
Mk 108's are two piece but look good
again front and back views
metal nose wheel part, ribbing on inside of engines
every thing is well packed - the clear packaging is ''most impressive''
Folded Standard sized A4 sheet shows where those 224+ parts go nicely
And a colour brochure
Conclusion
This was the very first Chinese kit I purchased so I was a little apprehensive about this one - just as well this aircraft saw active duty with JV44 !
Going by the quality of the parts on the sprue's, this one has impressed the hell out of me.
Time will tell when it gets built, and how the decals perform.
At $AU 26.29, it's well under Tamiya $AU40+ and some Dragon kits $AU40+
