Helping a friend to search for info on he's build of this tank, he wanna build that observation cupola that's seen on some pics :geek

I just found these pics, and now i wonder if someone here knows something about this :hmmm

It's something strange with these pics.... on the small one you don't see the "turrets" in the front of the tank either? not sure if someone played around with the pic or not :(

Been looking at them more, it's something done to the small one, the tank is much shorter to, i hate photoshop!!

(read down 3 or 4 entries) the cupola is a wooden dummy and not used after a one time trial. :hmmm

Those are the same pictures, look at the debris in front of the tank. Yeah I think someone edited the original for whatever reason.

I've been reading lately the new thing is to "shop" a photo and pass it off as real, mostly in the paranormal realm of things but if people start doing this with historical or reference stuff, they are doing a disservice. To me it would be like painting your name on the side of a building.

I'll pull out my book later today Matts. This is the early version of the St Charmond. Takom makes this one. Characterized by the domes and flat roof. Takom is coming out with a late version as well characterized by a lack of thiose domes and a peaked roof. I just need to get some coffee in me and then I will see what I can tell you.

PS check here also http://www.panzertruppen.org/guderian/stchamond.html
and I have this book.

Sorry to take so long. The power company decided Sunday was a good day to do cable maintenance and turned off power for 5 hours.

From the book there is 1 pic like yours that says it was a non standard observation point. Probably made by local work shops. The Takom kit has those marking but does not include the bigger dome.

Hope that helps Matts.
