Hello from the high desert

Dave DeMoss

Beginner
Thanks for letting me join. I’m getting back into modeling after a few years off. I’m jumping back in with a Pocher 1/8 Alfa 2300 Monza. I have 3 other Pocher kits in line. Hope to gain some building tips from this group.

Hi Dave! Welcome to the site!
I have one of the Monza Pocher kits in my stash. I built the Spyder way back many years ago (still have it packed in a box) They are very challenging kits and you came to a good place to ask for help. The old Pocher kits are not easy nor for the faint hearted. I had a number of them at one point and sold off several so am down to three. A Mercedes 540K, a Rolls Royce town car, and a Red Alfa Romeo Monza.
Up until last December there was a site that made and sold high end aftermarket upgrade parts for the early Pocher kits. Sadly the owner passed away and while the site is still up, I don't think they are doing any business any more. I checked it just the other day weeding out bad bookmarks and the bookmarks still worked.
Anyway, feel free to ask any and all questions of us you want. We have a great group here and will be willing to help where we can.

Ah, the folks I work for has a plant in Phoenix. Pretty country but it sure gets hot out there!

Welcome aboard, and feel free to ask anything. Looking forward to seeing your models.

Hey Mr. DeMoss!
Many are the model miscreants that abound here. (Not that many, truly!)
Your big, shiny models will bring another welcome splash of color to our drab military content!
