I spent a good day with Heaven's Eagle AKA Paul S. I would say it was very insightful for me and him both. We went to Harvey Young airport which is a small hobby airport in the Tulsa area with just a few hangars and maybe 4 aircraft just sitting around. We went to see a buddy that is building that 1/1 Bugatti 100P to which he is doing a bang up job of it. He is expecting to have it flying in a few months. Paul was not with out questions and Scotty was not with out answers. That was my intent all along. Paul seemed to really enjoy it.
Paul also brought me to a plastics store that he used to frequent when he lived in Tulsa and showed me some solvent that he says is just like Tenax. Its called Weld-on. It comes in a few different viscosities, and about three sizes. A small can which is about $10.00 would last about 6 years ( I know I am a bit over reaching). It contains methylene chloride, isobutones, acetone and MEK. This should be pretty hot and its in metal and not glass so it wont be affected by sunlight.
Then we went to a local hobby store where he bought a 32 Stagger Wing and a Bf-109 G-10. We rounded the day out with lunch at the local Chinese Buffet. It was quite a day.
