Happy Father's Day to all, if you haven't called your dad or spent time with him, please do. My dad has been gone since I was 17, really wish we could have one more catch in the back yard. I'll share one of his favorite songs with you, my friends.

This tends to be a day I kinda just check out and try not to pay much attention. My birth father checked out before my first birthday, and it wasnt until I was in my mid 20's that I reached out to him and we've started forming at least some what of a relationship.

My mom married a guy when I was 10 who was around, but wasnt exactly much of a father figure. They finalized their divorce about 3 months ago, but have been separated for about 4 years.

Unfortunately I've never really had much of a father figure in my life. My grandfather was about the closest I ever had, and I've only seen him twice in 20 years, since we moved to North Carolina.

I'll call my father & ex-stepdad and wish both a Happy Fathers Day, but unfortunately there's just not a lot behind it. I'll also call my Grandfather, and will actually mean it.
