"FNGs" Camp Bearcat, Vietnam 1967 (Completed)

I completed this diorama on 6 March 2024. It took a few days to get around to getting some decent photos in my portable photo booth.

I am attaching the thumbnail images in no particular order. They are at various angles and some may be redundant, but someone might see something in one of them that may interest them that may not be visible in some of the other images.

Thanks for looking. This was a pretty fun diorama to build.

Cheers,

Thank you. The cat is painted to look like one of my cats.
The names are of real Soldiers but the serial numbers are made up. My friend Bill Rambow and Freddie Geremia arrived as replacements for C Company at the same time, so I thought they might get a kick out of seeing their names on the duffle bags. Paul White is a friend I served with in 3-144 IN who had served in Vietnam in the Australian Army in 1970-71 before moving to the US and becoming a US Citizen. The other two are names I saw on a roster who arrived at the same time. The two duffle bags near the new guys were lettered and numbered using dry transfers. That was a pain in the butt because of the roundness of the duffle bag. Since the other three had a bunch of folds I decided to paint those instead.
