First diorama: 1/72 B-25 bomb loading

Hello guys,
This is going to be my first-ever diorama, so I'm keeping it super-simple. The idea came from the a photo of P-38s about to be loaded, courtesy of worldwarphotos.info. The Burma and the bomb carts are Military Scales 3D prints. I'd like to throw some .50 cal ammo cans into the Ford GTB Burma and maybe a toolbox, if I can find them.

This is also my first time working with 3D-printed models and I'm finding they're insanely brittle. I managed to break the windshield frame on the Ford, with pieces apparently never to be seen again. I'm going to try to make the canvas top so at least I only have to improvise the visible parts of the frame.

Are the rear wheels offered doubled? If so, great. If they are supposed to have the outer set of the double wheels removed, they should be concave side out. In the photo you posted, the single rear wheels (since it is towing) was done by removing the outer set. This means extra long studs (designed to meet and hold the out wheels) should be visible. All TMI, I know, and easily ignored as the kit is fragile! Where did you get it?

I got it here. https://www.super-hobby.com/products/Ford-GTB-4x4-Burma-Bomb-Service-Truck-1-49926798.html
In fact, I'm pretty sure it was somebody here who pointed me to this website.

It came with the outer wheels printed separately from the vehicle. Even though that particular photo shows single wheels on the back, I'll put on the double. Most other photos show them on, and anyways it just plain looks odd without them.

The bomb carts are actually labelled as US Navy equipment, and in the photo they indeed look a far lighter color than the olive-drab bombs so I guess I'll be painting those a light gray.

The GTB is cute little model! Do you find the surface texture/layers problematic?
The print lines are visible mostly on the rear wheel arches, but they're not too bad. I'd be more concerned if the GTB was the main object of the diorama. I'll probably go with it as is.

My main problem with the GTB is fixing the damage I inflicted cutting it from the print sprues, then not breaking it again. The bed looks to be wood planks alternating with steel, so I'll figure out how to finish that realistically. They were probably painted but I'd bet the paint would wear and flake off fairly quickly. I also have to make the front windows.

The bomb carts need slight modifying too, because the tow eyes rest on the ground and I need them slightly up, plus they need tow hooks on the back.

In short, for pre-printed 3D models they're going to take a bit of effort!

By the way, does anybody know any sources for 1/72 ammo cans and other appropriate gear? EDIT: Never mind, found it! https://www.super-hobby.com/products/Skrzynie-amunicyjne-kaliber-.50-5-sztuk-51916558.html

Do you mean to tell me the truck is printed as one assembly, less the outside rear duals?

Yes, I do. The detail that actually glares at me most is the cable on the crane. Replacing it with something that looks like an actual cable might be past my abilities.

Someone was mentioning the lack of a good high speed tractor? This looks pretty good from here. Sorry Al, not meaning to hijack the thread.

You might try soaking a coffee filter in Knox Gelatin, and shaping it to fit after it dries. I use this same trick to make sails for my 1/700 sailing ship models.

Might I suggest instead of miliput, use tissue paper. Mix up some white glue and water, very thin, and soak the paper and shape it over the object you want to tarp. I used eye glass cleaner paper in the past. It's stronger than your average cleanex paper.
