Fine Molds Nano-Details German Seat Belts

This is a great idea! Fine Molds has released several sets of seat belts, and other items, under their Nano Details series. From the Nano-Aviation series, here we have a look at NA-1 1/72nd scale German Seat Belts, and NC-1 the same in 1/48th scale.

What makes them interesting is that the plastic is very flexible without breaking yet the details are extremely fine. It glues with regular plastic cement and takes paint like any other polystyrene model.

Here we see both sets. These were ordered from Dragon USA Online. Click the image above to buy the 1/72nd scale belts.

The rear of both is identical and offers instructions for assembly and painting. Click the image above to buy the 1/48th scale belts.

The next three photographs are close ups of the 1/48th scale belts.

These two show the details and flexibility of the 1/72nd scale sets.

Regards,

Wonder if they make 1/48 US and british also?

If only we can get them in 72 :bang head

They make 1/72, 1/48, and 1/32. All I saqw at Sprue Brothers was the German and IJN sets. Maybe they will see how these go and then make more in the future?

The sets have just arrived at Dragon USA Online. The prices are better there too. I guess Sprue Brothers will probably drop the prices once they order from DML USA.

At the moment, the Luftwaffe sets are in three scale (72/48/32) and the Imperial Japanese Navy (72/48/32) to be followed by the Imperial Japanese Army and USN. It wouldn't surprise me to see them release British and USAAC as well.

Regards,

Those seat belts are incredibly nice looking . However, at the going price of $ 25.49 ( 1/72 ) they are priced above what I'm willing to pay.
If I shop around I can find 1/72 Fine mold aircraft for that price or lower :bang head

The price I linked to was $20.66 for four seat belts or $5.17 each. It is expensive but I want to support new ideas and techniques. While the work they have done with ship model details is fantastic, I couldn't buy that in good faith as I would end up giving it away as I don't build that many ships.

As I wrote, perhaps other vendors will now order from Dragon Models USA and offer them at a better price.

No doubt fine molds makes the finest looking 1/72 scale aircraft I have laid eyes on but also the priciest.
Just Emailing with a Brit retailer and he would not even mail them without insurance due to the high cost.
I'm sure the belts are awesome. I can only hope for a good sale :fencing

Can't remember if I saw the price at Dragon or Sprue Bro. but that's what I found.
