Tried a different technique to simulate the defused aluminum surface commonly seen on WW2 mustangs. Some of it looks ok. Also found a couple pictures of the guns and ejection port for the shells with some kind of coverings. So I tried to emulate that.

Nicely done. Maybe some wear on the back of the prop and a little chipping on the leading edge of the horizontal stabilizers?

Thanks for the comments guys! It turned out ok. Probably could have weathered it more...but I sometimes get carried away with that!!
