lupanzer

Master at Arms
Hi all!

I´ll participate with this one...

...I intend to make a SS Panzergrenadier with winter camo uniform in the Eastern Front...this guy found a Russian Machine Gun PPSh-41 and ask himself...wich is better the mine ( StG 44) or this one...????

...I start this project,today...and the cleaning of the resin pieces is the first step...

...adjusting the body...

...see you soon...

Luiz.

Re: ...DOUBT...

Oh, I wish I had thought about doing that on the 2 120mm figures I have going right now. Both have small gaps around the waist where I didnt do a real great job of prepping the parts.

Re: ...DOUBT...

Lupanzer, Welcome to the campaign and by the look of it you certainly know what you are doing

I am so looking forward to this build as I am all the others

:popcorn

Re: ...DOUBT...

Hi Luiz,

Are you going to do this in the pea-dot camo like shown on the box?

'Mrs Recon'wants to know if there are any penguins involved.... :silly:

Greetings,Ron.

Re: ...DOUBT...

Thanks guys for the nice comments and the very nice reception! :dude

@ Ron...the pea pattern will be only on the smock...the trousers will be white...penguins...may be.. ;)

...it follows an update...the alighment between the torso and the legs...the pics tell all the story...see...

...at this moment I found that the lower part of the smock got so straight...so this must be corrected,

see how I did this job...

...and till the next...regards for all!

Luiz.

Re: DOUBT...update, Nov.22th...HEAD X HELMET...

Thanks Saul,Moon and Gene...very appreciate!

...more an update...now dealing with the arms and the boots...my strategy is to pin all the the resin parts,it´s more easy to paint the pieces and safe when I glue these components...let´s see the pics...

...see you soon...

Re: DOUBT...update, Nov.22th...HEAD X HELMET...

Luiz, let me see if I understand what you're doing to find and drill center.

008editado.jpg

looks to me you are marking the outer side of the subject with reference marks at a quarter turn. then you separate the subject. Then you extend the hash mark across the diameter of the surface. Then again for the marks that are on the right angle to the first one. Then it's X marks the spot. Not sure if this would give us dead on center but it should be consistent on each side of the subject.

Does this make sense? Am I correct?
