Tamiya's 1/35 T-62A
This was one of my first kit I built a while ago , I first painted it as a Soviet tank ,
Then I rebuilt it and repainted as a Syrian tank .
And now it is a destroyed and burnt out Iraqi tank
I went to town pulling it apart and wrecking it .
Engine bay damage , fenders cut off , and for the roadwheels I spent about 2 minutes using my bench grinder to wear them down.
Added the light guard . track guard damage and opened up the tool boxes.
Damaged rear fuel cell . I superglued a cable tie for the turret traverse ring
Took the DShK mg off it's cradle , also bent the drivers hatch up , and the small one on the back of the turret out , pressure from an internal explosion.
The full desert scheme was kind of a waste of time
I gave it a light coat of Nato Black pretty much all over , then sprayed Matt Black in and around areas like the hatches . For the rust I gave it a light coat of straight Hull Red , then kept adding Tamiya's Orange to the Hull Red and sprayed randomly .
I used a dinner place mat that has cork on the bottom for the road surface
The roadwheels on
crushed pastel dusted over it , I took some ash out of my fireplace and used that.
