It has been a while since I have posted anything. I recently completed my first 1/24 scale figure from Concept Miniatures. It is a 3d Printed piece that includes the base with a section of a wall. I painted everything with acrylics and used Gamers Grass tufts and preserved plants from Dioramapresepe for the vegetation. The only thing I changed on the figure was the direction of the sling on the M16. It was printed with the attachments on the wrong ends. Other than that, the figure was pretty straight forward and the pose is pretty dynamic showing plenty of motion.
Working in 1/24 scale rather than 1/35 was a different experience for me as I had to adjust my painting style a bit to account for the larger areas. It was nice not to need magnifiers to paint details such as the stamping on the bandoleer and markings on the pro-mask carrier. I will be doing more 1/24 scale figures. The only downside I see right now is the lack of the accessories available in 1/24 scale as opposed to those available in 1/35 and even 120mm.
Thanks for looking.
Cheers,
James
