change of scale

Yep, I said that before, I am changing scales from 32 to mostly 48 for the fighters and 72 for any multi-engined stuff. Its getting to be a room and space issue and I am pretty tired of the super huge mega part kits that I loose interest in and subsequently they just sit and dont do any inspiration.

I have 3 32 kits left one of which is the 219 and the AV-8B that Chef gave me that I am keeping to finish when I can get a replacement canopy from the boys in China. The 48 scale stuff requires me to use some magnification in the pit area. And usually the engine detail is quite detailed enough so I just decided to go with 48 to keep the hobby going here and have it interesting enough to do a good job at it.

I'm with you Paul, even though my next 2 aircraft projects are 1:32...1:48 can be very nicely detailed, even 72, I mean look at one some of the folks around here have been doing.

So what's next?

Cant wait to see that Paul. Check the web though for instruction issues. I know the wheel well has wrong part numbers called out, but dont remember which ones. It will save a lot of grief and explatives. Otherwise its a gem of a kit and a lot of fun. And the nicest thing is you can build it OOB and end up with a very nice model, or you can detail the heck out it and end up with a very nice model. Win win :D
