Now that was cool (y) . I think that it would be a real cool little (or maybe a real big one :p ) diorama to have one of them coming out of the water. And I am also kind surprised that they never had a couple hundred of these all over the Pacific to support the island hopping campaings before they captured or built runways.

College Point, NY is in New York City! So much military history in the city that gets glossed, ignored, then paved over. :(

I have been to some lesser known military museums in the city such as Floyd Bennett Field. Everyone seems to know the USS Intrepid Sea, Air, Space Museum but several historical points only get a tiny plaque.

Anyway, great video!

There is supposed to be a 1/35 scale C-47 and Tante Ju coming out. Maybe they will do float versions of both. Of course that means you couldn't use the 1/35 Horsa that is also coming.

Over 3 foot wingspan, might as well put real engines on it and some servos and make it a flier.

 Here is a question I have often wondered

If a float plane goes to "land" on the water , do they call it a landing ? or a watering ? See it does not need go go anywhere near land :idonno

I think it sounds better to say the plane had a safe watering :)
