AtlantaCon 2025

I went to AtlantaCon 10 years ago. It was great fun! Enjoy the day, my friends!

THAT is one of the LOADED questions/answers that too many young men fall into. The usually don't survive the fall, more than once. I was being deployed for an undisclosed times NOT to exceed 45 days (more like 4 months with the hospital stay). The next time I was deployed my 1st wife returned CONUS and only came back to the UK after I had returned. The next time, well let's just say it was the last time. We were divorced 10 months later.

Gee, I told her she and our son could come along to Majorca.

So my query to my Beloved is "What if we went a little further South than Kansas City for a Model show?"
She's up for it. It might be a little financially out of reach for a laid-off guy.

I hear ya Rhino. I retired in January. Right now I sort of feel laid off waiting for the first check to land in the bank.

My TLAR website Projects resemble the structure of "work" somewhat. The income from the website does NOT resemble actual work.
Busy Hands are Happy Hands!

Hmm, Actually it is only about a 6 hr drive from my house. I can do that without any issues. As it is a week and a half off, I might be able to swing the drive with planning. I would have to leave here at about 2AM, but have done that kind of drive before and the map program in my phone does really well for the long drives.
Even have some builds I could enter for grins and giggles.

We'd love to see ya Paul. If you're staying for awards I would book a room, that's a long long day. I wasn't really planning on entering anything myself.
there's a great Hobby Town up in Kennasaw and @Tim A. that's the museum that has the actual "The General" locomotive of the great locomotive race fame.

I need to get to Kennesaw. We did go to the opening day of the season for steam power at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum last weekend.

Ok, so, @moon puppy, what is your route? Can we car pool? I can meet somewhere along the route. Gail is saying I would have to drag her cold dead body if I want her to go...so...meh...ya got room?

WHAAAaaat? All the cool stuff you guys build and you aren't going to enter? What a shame.
